Program Description

BSc in Management

Warwick Business School

Ranked 3rd in the UK for Business and Management by the Guardian 2019

Our BSc Management degree is consistently ranked one of the best in its class, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to operate effectively in a range of roles in international brands, multinational companies, global financial markets and new business ventures.

Your final two years on this course are highly flexible as you can choose modules to tailor your experience to meet your interests, development needs and career aspirations. This means you can follow a generalist route in business and management to keep your career options open or choose to specialise in a particular discipline, such as Finance, Marketing or Digital Innovation to improve your employability in that area. Your transcript on graduation will reflect this, adding even more value to your degree when applying for work in either sector.

As well as enhancing your career potential, the course will enable you to develop as a critically reflective thinker, able to analyse and interpret business-related problems and to devise creative and enterprising solutions that straddle multi-disciplinary boundaries. You’ll benefit from studying with students from a range of different countries, in a mutually-supportive, collaborative learning environment.

The course offers opportunities to develop key inter-personal, communication, leadership and team-working skills, and to become more adaptable and resilient to change.

Exemptions

If you study specific accountancy or finance modules as part of your degree, you may be eligible for exemptions from a number of professional accounting exams. The regulations change, but many accountancy bodies have previously recognised our course.

Work placement

Extend your degree by a year and carry out a work placement in your third year. We do not organise work placements, however, our dedicated CareersPlus team will provide support in making your applications. If you are interested in a career in accounting you could start your ICAEW ACA qualification through our Undergraduate Partnership Programme typically working for one of the Big-4 professional services firms. Alternatively, you could work for a company such as Microsoft, L’Oreal, JLR, Accenture, BNP, Paribas, and Nestle.

You should return to Warwick confident, ready to put your new and developed knowledge, and skills into practice for your final year.

The 2019/2020 academic year
