Since September 2020, SBC and USST offer students a fantastic and unique opportunity to earn both a British bachelor degree and a Chinese bachelor degree. If international students have a strong desire to learn Chinese, they can be dual enrolled. After four years of study at SBC, students can earn both a British bachelor degree certificate from Sheffield Hallam University and a Chinese bachelor degree certificate from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST).

School of Information Science and Engineering has 4 big data research centers on campus, which have undertaken national high-tech projects and specialized in the fields of AI, software engineering, network information service, cloud computing, and big data. The program is dedicated to training seniors who are competent in computer science research, computer system design, development, and application, etc.

The program is the first major of chemical engineering and chemical process established in China, ranks top 1 ‰ of ESI in the world. The graduates from this major mainly enter various chemical-related production and design enterprises such as petroleum, chemical industry, energy, environmental protection, etc.; do teaching and scientific research in universities; and also work on technical trade and management. They are welcomed by employers.
