Introduction
Mechanical engineering is a discipline that has various areas of industrial applications. At the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Aydın University, besides the education of candidate professionals in design, production, and control of the engineering systems, research and development projects are conducted.
Mechanical Engineers have the opportunity to work in almost all the industrial fields as they can take responsibility for the design and production of the machines in our life. They can work as research & development engineers, production engineers, quality control engineers, maintenance engineers, and sales engineers. Most mechanical engineers can also work at administrative positions after a certain experience. The higher the need for advanced machinery and tools, the higher the need for qualified mechanical engineers.
Aims
- Builds his/her own business providing engineering services for management and leadership.
- Conducts applied studies in leading institutions in the fields of machinery, manufacturing, mechanics, heat, energy, materials, and thermodynamics.
- Participates in disciplinary and interdisciplinary studies in research and development, new technology and product development, projects, and applications.
- Conducts national and international scientific research and graduate studies.
- Works according to professional ethics and expresses himself/herself very well orally and verbally.
Objectives
- Train mechanical engineers who have an entrepreneurial spirit and capable of participating in interdisciplinary research projects.
