Introduction
Sociologists examine the multifaceted connections between society and the individual. By mastering the principles of social stratification, social organization, socialization, deviance, institutions, and social change, a degree in Sociology will allow graduates to analyze and understand issues surrounding gender, race, education, crime, health, mass media, political dynamics, and other social phenomena.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology at USCB assures that the student will be exposed to the broad spectrum of subfields of sociology. The student must obtain a grade of "C" or better in all courses taken for major credit. To qualify for graduation, a student must meet General Education requirements and Sociology program requirements.
